Take-out Style Fish and Chips

Ingredients
- 2 lb Fish cut into 4 inch pieces
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 can Beer
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 165 degrees F.
- Pat fish dry with paper towel and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, 2 tsp salt and 2 tsp pepper. Whisk eggs into dry ingredients and gradually add the beer. Whisk until a thin translucent batter is formed.
- Dip fish pieces into the batter and then place one at a time into the hot oil. Fry fish, turning once, until both sides are golden brown. About 2-3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towel and serve hot with french fries.
